Dent Trainer Radio Fundraiser

UPDATE:

PDR techs from all over the world really stepped up this week (3/30/15) and helped a fellow dent gal.  As of Sunday morning, Jennifer’s Go Fund Me campaign totaled $3080.  Only 3 days later the fund is over $21,000. The success of the fundraiser can be attributed to many factors.  Dent Trainer Radio provided an excellent platform for promotion, while many tool manufactures stepped up to donate tools that would be auctioned off via a special Facebook group page. The winning bids for the auction items were then donated directly to Jennifer’s Go Fund Me campaign. Many individual techs along with groups like PDR Nation, bypassed the auction and donated directly to Jennifer’s fund.

The brainchild for the auction event came from PDR tech, Wade Hartley, who recently was blessed with the kindness of the PDR brotherhood. Tool companies and techs helped him obtain a new set of tools, after his were “permanently borrowed.” Wade came up with the tool auction idea and contacted PDR networker, Ryan Hampton, who in turn contacted the Dent Trainer crew and tool companies to get the ball rolling.

The live radio show was a little choppy with all of the guests joining in to support the cause.  However, it was very effective.  Some notable call-ins included Steve Hopf from Ultra Dent Tools, Maria Kallenbach from A-1 Tools, and Sal Contreras from Dent Dial.  The boys also had some fun giving tech’s phone numbers over the air and leaving voicemail messages with scheduled guests who did not pick up in time (Carl Stuckey with Dent Specialists International).  The tool manufacturers mentioned above along with several others donated THOUSANDS of dollars worth of gear, software, and accessories.  Wade even made a successful contribution.  He auctioned off his chest hair as a blank canvas for logo promotion or embarrassing phrase placement. I can’t wait to find out what Duane Langenfeld decides to go with (winning bid $110). For a full list of contributors and winning bids check out the PDR tools buy sell trade page on Facebook.

The symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis have made life difficult for Jennifer.  She can no longer push dents to provide for her family.  Her husband, Michael, is now the sole breadwinner on the hail circuit.  Anyone who has battled a serious disease can attest to the high cost of medical care and prescription drugs.  Hopefully the money that was raised this week can help burden some of the difficulty associated with MS.
